(PRWEB) December 03, 2011

Gold and silver investment website WholeSaleGoldGroup.com has added new information to its website to help guide investors that want to buy gold coins. The content is designed for new investors that are trying to make sense of the often conflicting gold and silver investing information on the internet.

Visitors to the site’s homepage will see an article written by site head Michael MacDonald discussing the historical precedent of gold coin investment. The article notes that the only currencies that have stood the test of time have been precious metals, such as gold and silver. MacDonald touches on why he decided to discuss a 21st century issue –currency devaluation– by delving into ancient history: “Although many people see the current financial crisis as something new, similar crises have rocked the local and world markets in the past. Underneath nearly all of these financial meltdowns was the excess use of fiat money to pay off debts and keep governments afloat. Seeing a bit of history can help bring a clarity of perspective among the murky cacophony of financial and investment-related information out there. In addition to helping those interested in buying gold coins, we also want to help educate the investment community on issues that matter to them.”

Why did MacDonald and the Wholesale Gold Group team decide to add new content to the website? According to MacDonald, he regularly received feedback from site visitors and customers reporting that they were confused about whether they should buy gold coins or invest elsewhere. The new site content is aimed to help guide investors in the right direction in their investment strategies. According to MacDonald, “Some site visitors stop by with their wallet out, ready to buy gold coins. However, many site visitors are still unsure about how they should invest their hard-earned money. We want to help them make the best investment choice for them, which is unique to each individual.”

What investment opportunities does MacDonald consider best for the current turbulent times? MacDonald reports that purchasing physical gold and silver — in the form of gold coins, silver coins or bullion — is ideal: “Gold and silver are two natural resources with a finite supply, unlike the paper money that world governments continue to print like there’s no tomorrow. Silver in particular is a resource that is commonly used in a number of industries, including high-tech electronic and in weapons manufacturing. Like oil, new silver reserves aren’t consistently found even as demand skyrockets. What gold and silver have in common is that they are both becoming more valuable as government-issued currency values continue to nosedive. Whether one decides to buy gold coins or invest in another precious metal, many investment experts agree that now is the time to stock up on gold and silver.”

Question by ALIEN: Do you know why the stock market goes up today despite all the bad news on economy?
With all the write downs and losses on the collaterized debt obligation, the stock market still go up about 30 point this morning, where comes the money, does it come from the investment bankers who draw money from the Federal discount window? It is taxpayers’ money. The FED is irresponsible to put taxpayers’ money to the drain.

Answer by Feeling Mutual
The stock market always fluctuates.

The price of every stock varies individually.

One of the reasons the price of stocks goes up in general, is that the value of the dollar goes down.

Wall Street History

Article by Chris Degenhardt

Can Wall Street save us? Don’t bank on it!

If there is one thing that history teaches us it is that we have not learnt anything from it. A new television series by Stephen Spielberg purports to give humans a new start, millions of years in the past. This new start comes complete with an American military dictatorship and an enemy. If this is what creative people see as acceptable ingredients of a ‘new start’, history rests its case. Even the current governor of the Bank of England concurs. In a statement to the media, concerning the looming financial crisis, he said that banks and politicians have learned nothing from the banking past to prevent a major financial crisis occurring again. He said, “Of all the ways of organising banking, the worst is the one we have today.”

So why is the global financial system in such an entropic mess?

This article aims to answer this question to some extent. It also explains why the current banking system is doomed to failure. To begin with let us look at the concept of material wealth. Materially, a thing is only worth something once we ascribe a value to it. Gold is a good case in point. It has become a very valuable commodity owing to its malleability, it’s non corrosive nature and its regal status. It took on currency status during the sixth century BCE when King Croesus, having improved gold mining techniques, produced the worlds first standardised gold currency.

During the Fifteenth Century, Europe suffered a severe shortage of precious metals. Following this, the great European bullion famine, Europe turned to Africa for gold in the later 15th Century. Then she turned her sights on South America in the 16th century, at a great cost to the indigenous populations.

The 19th Century became notable for its ‘gold rushes’ in America, Africa and Australia. The most successful prospectors and gold owners needed somewhere to store their gold, to keep it safe. Gold smiths, like the Rothschild family set up banks that offered certificates for the gold, that could be exchanged as though they were the real thing.

The seeds of the entropic nature of the banking system were sown when banks started writing more certificates than could be backed up by the gold – nine times more becoming normal practice. This questionable banking practice was all very well while profits hid the minimal reserves. However, if there was a run on a bank this risky practice left it exposed. To counteract this the ‘Fractional Reserve Banking system’, based on debt, was introduced. Central banks, owned by families like Rothschild, were set up to rescue banks if the system was under threat, at a price of course. Central banks are not known for their philanthropy.

In 1816 the British pound became tied to a specific quantity of gold. Soon other countries were adopting the British gold standard. Under this system deflation and inflation are kept under control. However, during the first and second world wars, and the great depression in between, the gold standard was dropped in favour of printed paper money, resulting in massive debt and inflation. The Central banks do very well during times of human suffering, printing huge amounts of currency not backed by gold reserves.

Perhaps the most dangerous aspect of our entropic banking system is that its growth depends on the system’s ability to endlessly increase the market value of financial assets being traded, regardless of what happens to the output of real goods and services. This misguided dependency came about when Kantian aesthetics became linked with the Jurisprudence Law for perpetually growing wealth. This cannot be sustained under the current banking system because wealth is based on scarcity, which cancels out perpetual growth.

With a fractional banking system a bank only has to have a fraction, one tenth of the value of its lending power, held in reserve. This system works well for the banks as long as their debtors do not default on loans. However, if the bank’s debt becomes greater than its credit potential it calls on the reserve bank to bail it out by being credited the necessary funds to keep it afloat. In this way a banks debt increases the wealth of the central bank. However, the fractional banking system, claimed, by the current governor of the privately owned Bank of England, to be the worse way to organise banking, can only sustain debt indefinitely. Banking, being as it is an entropic system based on finite resources, is unsustainable. We are now at a point where this fact is becoming increasingly obvious, hence desperate citizens holding peaceful protests outside major banks around the world, to show their concern at their collapsing social and financial system.

The fractional banking system produces money in the form of credit out of nothing. This is the most amazing slight of hand trickery ever invented. Only the banks are allowed to do this, not you or me. Not only are we the slaves of the banking system, we even pay for our own slavery. Lord Josiah Stamp, former director of the Bank of England said, “In this new market…billions can flow in or out of an economy in seconds. So powerful has this force of money become that some observers now see the hot-money set becoming a sort of shadow world government – one that is irretrievably eroding the concept of the sovereign powers of a nation state” (Hot Money”, Business Week, March 20, 1995. Dangerous Divide).

Thomas Jefferson, alarmed at the trend of Central banking, warned, “If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their money, first by inflation and then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around them, will deprive the people of their property until their children will wake up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered.” This Happened in 1913, under the stewardship of Woodrow Wilson. From that point on the American government lost all control of its monetary policy.

It is now becoming painfully obvious that even a banking system that makes money from thin air and runs on debt cannot sustain itself and has to be rethought from the ground up. This is where the concept of a ‘Fractal Banking System’ comes into the picture. The problem with the fractional banking is that Kantian Jurisprudence Law for perpetual wealth on Earth cannot work forever within a closed system, based on the misunderstood second law of thermodynamics. As such the money cannot flow freely and much of it ends up as ‘useless’ dead money. It is estimated that trillions of dollars, in the United States alone is money not being used, tied up in trust funds and investments, unable to be of any use to anybody. At the other end of the scale, fractional banking yields up a multitude of debtors, many of whom have no hope of fulfilling their loan obligations.

One thing is for sure and that is we need to make drastic changes to the current banking system before it becomes too late. We have to cultivate a model (possibly fractal based) which better suits the global community’s needs in this century and beyond. In the fractal realm objects exist as smaller or larger units within infinite space. A fractal banking system by its very nature, has to be open and infinite. In my concept of a fractal banking system the money flows and as it does so becomes useful in providing goods and services while creating greater wealth.

A fractal banking system, by its nature has to work for one and all. It’s underlying ethics is about creating a financial system that has the ability to maintain global stability in terms of resources (such as food, water, energy). This is a basic priority under the umbrella of this system because, at present, individuals amassing the most wealth do so irrespective of the status of tangible goods and services. In Benoit Mandelbrot’s The Fractal Geometry of Nature he explains that his initial challenges in devising geometrical renderings capable of explaining the seemingly “formless” objects found in nature such as clouds, mountains, and streams, led him to study the morphology of the amorphous. It seems that trying to make sense of the current banking system, even for the financial gurus, is akin to formalise that which has no logical form. It certainly seems that monetary policy has distanced itself from anything the populace can see and feel. Whereas a core principle of fractal finances is an equitable monetary system coupled with economic, ecological and human development.

Fractal monetary lending, may be a blend of classic Muslim, non-compound interest, banking and the largely untapped market of “Micro-loans,” in which only the principle is paid back. This system ought to be available to all genuine needy causes. In a fractal banking system money is no longer produced by some conjuring trick. It only comes into being by those who produce something useful. Paper money is merely a promissory note, which has no value in and of itself. In essence a fractal, common-sense approach to banking is not that complicated, once we realise it is based on the principle of a return to values that come from ethical production and honest trading.

Finally, because the current financial system is based on scarcity it precludes any possibility of sustainability and abundance. Our long-term financial problems can only be resolved when when money is produced from such a fractal resolution. The concept behind the Mandelbrot Set is that within our communities, if the correct insight and ethics are applied, unlimited needs can be accommodated. While physicists continually find evidence for an underlying unifying structure in matter, outdated prejudices continue to create sexual, religious, racial divisions within humankind. A fractal banking system as the underlying principle of growing unity consciousness, can help to turn this situation around.

Best answer:

Answer by Dan
Sorry buddy 2010 will be the worst time to invest in stocks, as more and more people wants to hedge against the upcoming inflation, and economic uncertainty, fiat currencies are devaluing overtime and stocks are tied to their respected fiat currencies, if you see an up trend in the stock market and compare that to gold prices it is actually going down. So the best investment in the next decade would be commodities: food, precious metals, land, and pretty much everything physical, usable and has intrinsic value.
