blogs.wsj.com “MarketBeat’s concern isn’t over the savvy types who know full well that this is a bubble and have been riding it for as much gain as they can take. Our concern is for the people who are buying the yellow rock because its been hawked to them incessantly on TV… a lot of people who can’t afford it are going to get hurt.” In addition to PMs dipping this week, I have gotten an extra burst of “gold/silver are for suckers” comments from hit and run handles that are not viewers of my channel. Yes, the possibility exists that gold and silver could go down some more… but what kind of journalism is it to bash something incessantly without explaining why the fundamentals are so strong?
(PRWEB) December 03, 2011

Gold and silver investment website WholeSaleGoldGroup.com has added new information to its website to help guide investors that want to buy gold coins. The content is designed for new investors that are trying to make sense of the often conflicting gold and silver investing information on the internet.

Visitors to the site’s homepage will see an article written by site head Michael MacDonald discussing the historical precedent of gold coin investment. The article notes that the only currencies that have stood the test of time have been precious metals, such as gold and silver. MacDonald touches on why he decided to discuss a 21st century issue –currency devaluation– by delving into ancient history: “Although many people see the current financial crisis as something new, similar crises have rocked the local and world markets in the past. Underneath nearly all of these financial meltdowns was the excess use of fiat money to pay off debts and keep governments afloat. Seeing a bit of history can help bring a clarity of perspective among the murky cacophony of financial and investment-related information out there. In addition to helping those interested in buying gold coins, we also want to help educate the investment community on issues that matter to them.”

Why did MacDonald and the Wholesale Gold Group team decide to add new content to the website? According to MacDonald, he regularly received feedback from site visitors and customers reporting that they were confused about whether they should buy gold coins or invest elsewhere. The new site content is aimed to help guide investors in the right direction in their investment strategies. According to MacDonald, “Some site visitors stop by with their wallet out, ready to buy gold coins. However, many site visitors are still unsure about how they should invest their hard-earned money. We want to help them make the best investment choice for them, which is unique to each individual.”

What investment opportunities does MacDonald consider best for the current turbulent times? MacDonald reports that purchasing physical gold and silver — in the form of gold coins, silver coins or bullion — is ideal: “Gold and silver are two natural resources with a finite supply, unlike the paper money that world governments continue to print like there’s no tomorrow. Silver in particular is a resource that is commonly used in a number of industries, including high-tech electronic and in weapons manufacturing. Like oil, new silver reserves aren’t consistently found even as demand skyrockets. What gold and silver have in common is that they are both becoming more valuable as government-issued currency values continue to nosedive. Whether one decides to buy gold coins or invest in another precious metal, many investment experts agree that now is the time to stock up on gold and silver.”

Question by sundown858: What is a Wall Street buy program?
I’ve heard various Wall Street reporters use the term “buy programs” to explain market movements such as “the Wall Street buy programs kicked in and moved the markets higher”. Are these automatic programs that Wall Streets firms use to buy stocks?

Best answer:

Answer by JJ
Some brokers and individual investors have software that track trends one or many markets (Stocks, bonds, debentures, etc). These programs don’t automatically buy the stocks, but they do kick out reports that show where likely trends are going and which stocks might come out the best in the end.

Typically, the only people that can use these are the really big stock houses because they have the ability to move quickly with a lot of cash to make a purchase. In addition, the big houses have seats directly on the floors of the exchanges and can benefit from thier reduced cost to purchase because of it.

Don’t sweat it. Buy companies you know and hold them. That is the way to make your money and keep it. If you don’t beleive me, ask Warren Buffet.

Stock Market Today Live

Question by deadhead1232000: The stock market tanked today on the jobs report. Could they boost the market by publishing bogus numbers?
More specifically, could a recession be avoided if our government fed much rosier information? Better job numbers>higher market>more consumer confidence>more spendin… (far be it from me to suggest that our government would EVER be less than honest with us ;^) I do understand that any gains could be short-lived and that any up side to such a scheme would have a HUGE down side if people lost faith in the integrity of the government. Just curious of how influential that data can be.

The markets collapsed lower today after Ben Bernanke said QE3 was unlikely. This went directly against what he implied yesterday. As the Dollar surged, the market collapsed lower. A key head and shoulder pattern on the SPY played out to a master gap fill. At the gap fill, a bounce of epic proportions occurred. Traders are having fun with this market, nailing swing trades and day trades. Gold and silver are higher as panic is in the air. Oil is lower but Chevron and Exxon are hanging on to small gains. In addition, JPMorgan Chase reported earnings that beat Wall Street expectations. This may help the market recover today to the flat line and maybe even positive. To profit from this market take the seven day free trial of the Research Center. Profit with the pros now.
