I have my theories about WHY NEWS networks air these types of stories more and more lately… TPTB want to drive a wedge between white blacks All races and Religion and the COPS. The longer we fight among ourselves, the longer they can stay off the radar as the REAL PROBLEM! It is upsetting that COPS are falling for this and it is as if, they look to hire only those now that have chips on their shoulders with little to no empathy. TPTB stamps out American Idiots now faster than Bottle Caps! It is scientific fact that by the age of 6yr old.. AFter Vaccines, rBGH pasteurized milk, GMO and fast foods, Fluoridated water, and Aspartame consumption on a daily basis that said child has lost 20% potential IQ ability. what are the practical, ethical/social obligations; the need for appropriate actions; and the optimal ethical, decision-making processes existing in the wall street banks? Why should the executives make so much in bonuses? How does this have an effect on the taxpayers?

Best answer:

Answer by Hanseugen
It is very simple, the Wall Street Banksters are greedy. As for their ethics, they have none, they just have their greed. In their lust for money and power they could care less where it comes from, including your tax dollars.

Sebastopol, CA (PRWEB) December 08, 2011

Tiny House Lumbers Towards Occupy Wall Street

?When I found out that living in a tiny house is illegal, I just had to get myself into one. This is the coziest form of civil disobedience I?ve found. It?s the tiny Trojan horse with curb appeal.? Jay Shafer, Tiny Activist and founder Tumbleweed Tiny House Company.

A lumbering Tiny House coming to assist the Wall Street Occupation Forces may be the most important piece of moral combat artillery around. From this formidable podium, on Tuesday, December 13, Jay Shafer will be speaking to the people at Occupy and to the media about the role of the Small House Movement in protecting the people?s right to live in residences compatibles with their wants and needs.

The tiny mobile house, designed by the Tumbleweed Tiny House Company, is the vanguard of Small Movement Founder Jay Shafer?s assault on an establishment he feels has wrecked the economy, disenfranchised the middle class and taken over our fragile democratic systems. The tiny house of wheels is only 130 square feet (18?x8?) but is symbolic of resistance to a corporate infrastructure that disallows small, but comfortable residences to co-assist with its larger neighbors, thereby depriving many citizens of the possibility of owning their own homes and controlling their own destinies.

?For decades corporations like those from the housing, insurance and lumber industries (under the banner of the International Code Council and state) have maintained that our houses need to be of a certain size to be legal,? says Jay Shafer, commenting on the idea that mandatory consumption laws insure a vibrant economy, when what they really do is ?increase spending on virtually everything- from heating fuel and property taxes to more trips to Ikea.?

Now, he points out, the banks have hopped on the bandwagon, mandating even larger house-size requirements so people buy into houses they can ill-afford which can be quickly foreclosed on when they fail to make payments.

The Tiny House is coming to Occupy Wall Street to proclaim the people?s right to have affordable housing and to confront the unfair codes that constrain the ability to obtain affordable housing. The current situation, says, Jay Shafer, is ?a win-win for banks at the front and the back end of the deal. And it?s a win-win-win when bailouts are ultimately collected at the backend of American taxpayers with a little extra leverage from friends in government.?

Jay Shafer is headed towards Wall Street, fully cognizant of the pepper spray and billy clubs that have increasingly intimidated those who have chosen to freely assemble. He knows that when a society puts consumption over safety, it not only depletes bank accounts, causes citizens to face possible disclosure, but risks residences with enhanced dangers of earthquakes, floods and fires, one of the unfortunate by-products over larger houses. It is the time for him to speak out.

The Small House is coming, Wall Street. Viva la tiny revolution!

Jay Shafer, an expert in small living, is a designer specializing in sustainable architecture and urban planning. He has been a popular lecturer at the Eco-Dwelling program at New College, the Boston Architectural Center and the University of Iowa?s School of Art and Art History where he served as an Adjunct Assistant Professor for more than a decade.

An engaging look at what led to the financial turmoil we now find ourselves inBailout Nation offers one of the clearest looks at the financial lenders, regulators, and politicians responsible for the financial crisis of 2008. Written by Barry Ritholtz, one of today's most popular economic bloggers and a well-established industry pundit, this book skillfully explores how the United States evolved from a rugged independent nation to a soft Bailout Nation-where financial firms are allowed to self-regulate in good times, but are bailed out by taxpayers in bad times.Entertaining and informative, this book clearly shows you how years of trying to control the economy with easy money has finally caught up with the federal government and how its pra

New York, NY (PRWEB) December 15, 2011

A bailout of the troubled eurozone countries could lead to even bigger problems for the region, according to Michael Lombardi, lead contributor to financial e-newsletter Profit Confidential.

The European Central Bank (ECB) has just cut interest rates again, for the second straight month, to one percent?the lowest level on record for the ECB. Policies of interest rates kept artificially low and increasing the money supply are directly responsible for the 500% increase in the price of gold bullion, declares Lombardi.

?Gold bullion prices are screaming inflation ahead,? says Lombardi who has written an in-depth article for Profit Confidential entitled, Top Five Reasons Why Gold Bullion Prices Will Move Even Higher.

There is immense pressure on European leaders and the International Monetary Fund to bail out the troubled eurozone countries. The easiest way to bail them out is to issue more euros, says Lombardi, something Germany has been steadfastly against. Increasing the money supply has been one of the Federal Reserve?s tools to stimulate growth in the U.S. during the recession.

Germany is against printing more money, explains Lombardi, because after World War I Germany experienced a nasty bout of hyperinflation that crippled the country, a memory that lingers in the minds of many German politicians.

?Economics 101 tells us that, when there is too much supply of an item, such as fiat money, the value drops. Be it the euro or the dollar, the more they print of it, the less it?s actually worth,? says Lombardi, ?This is how we get rapid inflation.?

Profit Confidential, which has been published for over a decade now, has been widely recognized as predicting five major economic events over the past 10 years. In 2002, Profit Confidential started advising its readers to buy gold-related investments when gold traded under $ 300 an ounce. In 2006, it ?begged? its readers to get out of the housing market…before it plunged.

Profit Confidential was among the first (back in late 2006) to predict that the U.S. economy would be in a recession by late 2007. The daily e-letter correctly predicted the crash in the stock market of 2008 and early 2009. And Profit Confidential turned bullish on stocks in March of 2009 and rode the bear market rally from a Dow Jones Industrial Average of 6,440 on March 9, 2009, to 12,876 on May 2, 2011, a gain of 99%.

Winning On Wall Street

Question by Alex G: Wall Street to Main Street: “Heads we win, tails you lose?”?
Do you realize that Tea Party and OWS people are really, fundamentally outraged by the same thing?

Both movements are largely middle class, i.e., “Main Street”. This commonality is far more important than any differences between the two groups, which the media have been using to keep them from uniting. The media (both mainstream and right wing), of course, are owned by the same billionaire elites that own the big Wall Street banks and both political parties. So they are using their old tactic “divide and rule” – i.e., keep the masses divided roughly 50-50 and pit them against each other so the elites can carry on looting and plundering the long-suffering middle class.

What is the thing that unites both movements? Outrage at a rigged system where the elites can never lose and we can never win! If Wall Street banks make millions of bad loans and then “fail”, they get multi-trillion dollar bailouts by their cronies in government (using OUR TAX MONEY!).

But where is OUR bailout? For the sake of argument, we’ll put aside those “irresponsible” who “borrowed more than they could afford” at the peak of the housing bubble (I could argue their case very well, but we’ll put that aside for now). What about the rest of America, who also lost 50% of the value of their home? What about tens of millions who lost their jobs? What about students graduating into an economy with NO JOBS and tens of thousands of dollars in student loans for a degree which is WORTHLESS? (NOT just liberal arts degrees, but also technical degrees, law degrees, etc. – 85% of students are moving back with mom & dad because nobody is hiring!).

Where is OUR bailout?

Wall Street billionaires have rigged the system. They’ve privatized gain and socialized risk. That means if they gamble big and win, they keep all the gains, but if they lose, they get bailed out with government/taxpayer money.

Meanwhile, the bottom 99%, no matter how hard we try, we cannot get ahead! We just keep falling behind, due to stagnant wages, inflation, gas prices, health care, education – all skyrocketing. It takes the average American household two incomes to equal the standard of living that one income provided 50 years ago!

What is this??? Is this capitalism? I don’t think so! This is crony capitalism! This is rampant corruption! This is grossly unfair, un-American, and unsustainable!

And they’re sending thugs to beat students with clubs and drench them in pepper spray????

This is America???? What’s going on?????
EDIT @ Nightwin… “Too long to read”! Typical conservative. You can’t read or think for yourself. All you’re good for is regurgitating the lies and propaganda you hear from Rush and Fox. Read all points of view, and THINK FOR YOURSELF! Wake up man! Don’t be a dupe and a tool! Both parties are crap – the whole system is rigged! The billionaire elites who control both Wall Street and Government want us to be divided against each other instead of united against them!

Best answer:

Answer by Nightwind
Too long to read, but in your first statement, your fundamentally WRONG.
The Tea Party is the majority of American’s whom realize that Government is TOO intrusive, they are too irresponsible with OUR money and need to stop expanding.

The OWS people are whining because they feel entitled which is why they aren’t protesting the Government whom created this whole mess, but level thier complaints at all the targets the Democrat party has been demonizing for over a year………..namely banks and wall street.

IF you actually trace the people involved in the mortgage meltdown leading into the recession, you’ll find MOST are Democrats.

Give your answer to this question below!

People power triumphs over Wall Street’s bid to end the protests mayor bloomberg and Brookfield Inc. back down on eviction world prepares for day of action Saturday October 15 in 950+ cities in 82 countries. We Are Winning! NEW YORK, NY — Over 3000 people gathered at Liberty Plaza in the pre-dawn hours this morning to defend the peaceful Occupation near Wall Street. The crowd cheered at the news that multinational real estate firm Brookfield Properties will postpone its so-called “cleanup” of the park and that Mayor Bloomberg has told the NYPD to stand down on orders to remove protesters. On the eve of the October 15 global day of action against Wall Street greed, this development has emboldened the movement and sent a clear message that the power of the people has prevailed against Wall Street. “We are winning and Wall Street is afraid,” said Kira Moyer-Sims, a protester from Portland, Oregon. “This movement is gaining momentum and is too big to fail.” “Brookfield Properties is the 1%. They have invested billion in mortgage-backed securities, so as millions face foreclosure and eviction due to predatory lending and the burst of the housing bubble that Wall Street created, its not surprising they threatened to evict Occupy Wall Street,” said Patrick Burner, an organizer with Occupy Wall Street from the Bed-Stuy neighborhood of Brooklyn. “But Brookfield and Bloomberg have backed down and our movement is only growing as the 99% take to the streets world wide to call …

So, on one level, Wall Street is losing whatever positive reputation in may have enjoyed, even if the Movement challenging it still lacks a specific program. What would winning consist of in this context? For the financiers and the investors, …
Hong Kong (PRWEB) November 29, 2011

Early morning activity on the Dow is up almost 3%; both the S&P 500 and NASDAQ indexes are above 3% compared to Friday?s close.

Part of today?s upward bounce in stock and euro currency values was the news that the Italian Senate approved economic reforms intended to prevent a duplication of the measures undertaken by the EU to stabilize Greece.

Such measures, if required, would be catastrophic for the EU. Italy?s economy is number three in the Euro zone number eight in the world, which makes it far too large for a Greek style bailout.

The Dollar has declined as investors seemed willing to tolerate additional risk by moving funds back into the equities markets. The Euro has gained on the Dollar. Early New York session Forex currency exchange trading has the euro close to $ 1.34, almost 200 pips above Friday?s close.

Financial markets often display this type of price activity when a downward trend that tests long term lows fails to establish a new low point. Bargain seeking buyers rush into the markets hoping to make rapid profits from dramatic reversals. Others who caught the trend on the way down cover short positions with offsetting buy orders that contribute to a rise in prices.

FX trading offers the volume and liquidity that only a $ 4 trillion a day market makes possible. Trading costs with a Forex Electronic Clearing Network (ECN) makes low-cost currency trading available to the average investor.

InvestTechFX offers the average investor the transparency to trade currency pairs with the confidence that comes from knowing that you are not trading against a market maker broker that can wipe out your trading profits with variable, unpredictable spreads, re-quoting of currency prices and other tactics that stack the deck in their favor. They offer fixed spreads of as low as .5 pip on six major currency pairs, 24/5 customer service and a variety of trading tools to assist the trader.

Veteran options trader Dan Passarelli explains a new methodology for option trading and valuation. With an introduction to option basics as well as chapters on all types of spreads, put-call parity and synthetic options, trading volatility and studying volatility charts, and advanced option trading, Trading Option Greeks holds pertinent new information on how more accurate pricing can drive profit. Most options traders focus on strategies such as covered calls, vertical spreads, butterflies and condors, and so on. But traders often don't know how to use the "greeks"—the five factors that influence an option's price—to trade more effectively. The "greeks" (Delta, Gamma, Theta, Vega, Rho) are tools to measure minute changes in an option's p

New York, NY (PRWEB) December 02, 2011

Following the worst Thanksgiving week performance for the market since 1932, traders actually made money, according to popular e-newsletter Profit Confidential. Black Friday sales came in higher than expected and rumors that the International Monetary Fund (IMF) was about to give Italy a 600-billion euro loan caused a strong move up Monday in the markets.

According to Michael Lombardi, lead contributor to Profit Confidential, ?Plain and simple, we?re looking at a classic short-covering rally today.? With the Dow Jones Industrial Average having fallen 7.9% in 11 trading sessions, Lombardi believes that short sellers have made enough money and are taking profits.

Writing in Profit Confidential, Lombardi states ?They don?t want to get caught up in the euphoria around better-than-expected Black Friday sales and a possible bailout of Italy.?

Italian newspaper La Stampa reported this weekend that the IMF was preparing a 600-billion e uro loan for Italy in the event its situation worsens. On Monday, the IMF denied the report.

?Forget the rumors,? writes Lombardi, ?A child can see that, since August, the Dow Jones Industrial Average has been stuck in a trading range of 10,500 on the downside and 12,250 on the upside.?

Profit Confidential has highlighted that traders have been buying stocks when the Dow Jones Industrial Average goes under 11,000 and shorting shorts when the Dow Jones Industrial Average goes over 12,000.

?Traders have been making a lot of money trading this bandwidth,? says Lombardi.

But once in a while traders get caught on the wrong side of the market, Lombardi goes on to say, ?Today?s a perfect example of short sellers being on the wrong side, quickly covering their positions, and sending the Dow Jones Industrial Average higher.?

Question by mtsd5468: Does the stock market trend reflect the election polls?
Someone pointed this out to me this morning.

“Since Osama has been ahead in the polls, the stock market has tanked.”

Even after the bailout was approved, the stock market should have improved. It did for one day. Than the polls started showing Osama ahead of McCain and the stock market tanked.

This person said: “We can throw all the money in the world at the problem, but the spector of Osama being President is driving the market south.”

Does this sound correct?

I don’t have any money directly in the market and follow it only from the side lines so to speak.

Best answer:

Answer by Doug P
you cant argue with a 2000 point decline since obama started leading…investors know they will be punished if he wins
