Most Democrats oppose the war and want the government interfering with business. If we fail in times of war, the money from the economy is not in weapons. Therefore, the economy is active, and increases the stock market. Besides the Democrats would prefer the government to intervene when we are in times like these, so as to remove the taxes, is what makes our taxes, (ie, during its presidency of Jimmy Carter to rise).
